How is the Soul phenomenon possible?

According to the First Law of Thermodynamics, there will always remain the same amount of energy in the Universe. You can convert one type of energy into another, but you cannot steal energy or make new energy. This being true, how is the Soul phenomenon possible? If the Soul = Energy, and our Soul leaves us (and this World) and several thousand people die every day, and are born every day, that would denote that new energy is constantly entering and leaving the Universe, right?
