Hi have you ever thought that both Carter & Mondale always hated Reagan because of the humiliation defeat?

I know no one cares but if you where Carter or Mondale, wouldn't you have a feelings that you hated your former opponent because he humiliated you? Not a defeat but a humiliation. And when Reagan past away, did both Carter & Mondale show up in the church or funeral? Thanks!
